The Salford Star presents an irreverent and cutting edge view from the west side of the Irwell. it’s a magazine with a selection of articles on local Salford themes, often with an emphasis on the local community.
Salford City Council comes in for some stick, as do other local figures including MP Hazel Blears. It’s spiky, stimulating and thoroughly down to earth. If you’re looking for an antidote to journals which merely regurgitate local authority press releases, the Salford Star is it.
